My name is Björn Djurnamn. I’ve been playing drums and writing music in various forms since I was a kid. Everything from hip hop beats and pop punk songs to works for symphony orchestras and jazz ensembles. I’ve also worked for over 16 years in software development, as well as run the streetwear brand Power of Reputation and the live hip hop club Spit Spot in Malmö. Right now, I’m working on recording and creating sound and music for an improvised radio theater in podcast form called Skattkammare & Skräcködlor.
I’m inspired by way too many things to list, but here are some honorable mentions: 90s kids’ TV shows like Chip & Dale: Rescue Rangers. Retro point and click adventure games, like the Monkey Island series. Early 60s John Coltrane Quartet records. Gorillaz. What drew me to study at Östra Grevie was the opportunity to combine my passion for music, sound and software into a solid game audio skillset. Bringing my past experiences into areas and genres, that haven’t necessarily been my main focus before, has resulted in some really interesting stuff. I’m excited to explore more!
